The Cyber Essentials Conference will aim to show the audience the steps, in a non-technical manner, that a company should take to prevent opportunistic attacks from the internet. This will show you how your organisation can mitigate different hacking attempts that can easily be prevented.

Added value will be provided in the shape of Incident Response. Would your employees know what to do if a ransomware demand notice was displayed on the computer?

Your speaker for the day will be Cary Hendricks who is a highly accomplished security technical investigator, advisor and trainer with over 20 years’ broad experience working with Government Agencies throughout the world.

His specialties include lawful interception, security analysis and strategy, network and security architecture, intelligence management and analysis, systems administration and engineering. He is a Certified Ethical Hacker, qualified Computer Forensic Investigator and a Certified Instructor for both.Police Scotland aim to assist and support partners, businesses and organisations to adopt good practice in information security.

From 1 October 2014, Government requires all suppliers bidding for contracts involving the handling of certain sensitive and personal information to be certified against the Cyber Essentials scheme.
