Public Sector Action Plan on Cyber Resilience

The Scottish government is taking the opportunity of Resilience Week 2017 to announce the publication of Public Sector Action Plan on Cyber Resilience!

The public sector action plan, intends to ensure our public bodies can manage the increased cyber threat and, over time, become models of cyber resilience.  It encourages all Scottish public bodies to implement common baseline cyber security standards in their organisations, including requirements to ensure robust cyber governance arrangements, active threat intelligence sharing, clear cyber incident response protocols, and appropriate independent assurance ensuring protections are in place against the most common forms of cyber-attack.

The Public Sector Action Plan has been developed by the Scottish Government in partnership with the National Cyber Resilience Leaders’ Board. Once realised, it would make Scotland the first UK nation to have achieved these baseline standards across all of its public bodies.

The plan has been published during Resilience Week 2017 and coincides with the two year anniversary of the publication of Safe, Secure and Prosperous: a Cyber Resilience Strategy for Scotland.
