We're Hiring!

SBRC are looking for a Membership Engagement Manager to join our growing team, as well as a Press & Media Manager to join our Best Bar None programme.

Membership Engagement Manager

SBRC is driving forward in its role as a respected, trusted voice bringing together Scottish Government, Police Scotland, Scottish Fire & Rescue Service and other key partners to help create a safer Scotland in which to live, work and do business.

We deliver a range of public good training and commercial services to members and non-members across Scotland, to help mitigate risk of crime and reduce criminality and fire risk.

Due to a period of growth, we are now looking for an outstanding Membership Engagement Manager who will continue to drive positive working relationships with existing and potential members.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Membership, this role will work closely with our team of in-house experts and seconded Police Scotland and Scottish Fire & Rescue Service officers.

We are looking for a self-motivated, confident, authentic and professional individual with a drive for identifying and securing new business, delivering excellent customer service and building key relationships with businesses throughout Scotland.

You will do this by embracing opportunities to make new key contacts and showcase the range of services and support that SBRC is uniquely placed to deliver. You do not need to be an expert in all things business resilience as our team of in-house experts are here to assist.

The successful candidate will use their expertise to help deliver our ambitious strategy for 2019-20 and beyond, of supporting members and potential members in areas of risk including Serious Organised Crime, Counter Terrorism, Staff and Premises vulnerabilities.

Best Bar None Scotland - Press & Media Manager

Best Bar None (BBN) Scotland is a unique programme leading the way in safer nights out by working in partnership with Police Scotland, Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, Scottish Government and the licensed trade industry.

Due to planned growth in the scheme, we now have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Press and Media Manager to join our team and take this renowned programme to the next level.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role will work closely with the Best Bar None National Coordinator and other seconded senior officers from Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service.

We are looking for a talented, creative and confident individual with a drive to enhance promotion and awareness of BBN across traditional offline and online channels, and embrace the opportunity to work with venues, stakeholders and partners across Scotland.

While you will certainly be spoilt for choice with great news stories, we are also keen to find someone who can support and encourage BBN venues without media expertise to maximise opportunities.

The successful candidate will use their expertise to frame the next steps for Best Bar None Scotland as the programme grows across every local authority area in Scotland, keeping businesses safe and resilient.
