The Scottish Business Resilience Centre (SBRC), along with some of Scotland’s’ top business leaders will be hosting a series of 60 minute webinars to provide a chance for attendees to understand and ask questions about topics which will help businesses prepare to survive in this unprecedented time.

Wednesday 29 April - How the city of Aberdeen is coping during Covid-19

Hosted by Graeme Gordon of IFB, we look at the impact of pandemic on the business community in Aberdeen specifically. 

Tuesday 28 April - An update on government funding for start-ups 

We're joined by guests from Par Equity, The British Business Bank and others to look at funding which has been made available for start-up companies. 

Friday 24 April - VCs here and America: an update

We host a fire-side chat with guests from the venture capital community to discuss what's been going on here and in the States. 

Friday 24 April - A HR view 

We look at supporting your workforce during Covid-19 an update on the Job Retention Scheme including using the government portal.

Thursday 23 April - Covid-19 and the Supply Chain

We speak to those working in the supply chain on issues surrounding the pandemic and how organisations have been adapting from road haulage to food supply.

Tuesday 21 April - Counterfeit goods 

In this webinar hosted by Rachel Jones of SnapDragon Monitoring, we discuss the rise of counterfeit goods during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Thursday 16 April - Vacant premises 

Officials from Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue and the security industry join us to discuss how to keep your empty business premises safe during the lockdown.

Wednesday 15 April - The Dos and Dont's of video conferencing 

Our ethical hackers talk about the recent security issues surrounding video conferencing and how to apply, simple, effective measures to keep safe while using video calling platforms. 

Tuesday 14 April - Communications during Covid-19

In this webinar we focus on marketing and communications around Covid-19 for businesses with host Fred MacAulay and co-host, Graeme Gordon of IFB.

Tuesday 7 April - Update and questions from previous webinars

Our speakers look at how Covid-19 will impact the employed, self-employed, the different schemes introduced by the Government and also insolvency.

Friday 3 April - Leadership and people

In this session, we take a look at what business owners need to do to lead their businesses through this difficult time. 

Thursday 2 April - Cyber Scams 

SBRC along with experts including NCSC CEO Ciaran Martin, discuss the latest cyber scams which have been circulating since the start of the pandemic.

Tuesday 31 March - Covid-19 and Venture Capital

During Tuesday's webinar, we spoke with experts in the venture capital community on topics such as investment for young companies.

Friday 27 March - Legal implications of Covid-19 on business

In this session, our panel of legal expert guests explored topics such as regulatory challenges for business continuity, business restructuring and staying on the right side of insolvency laws, employment matters and government loan schemes. 

Wednesday 25 March - Uniting Scottish businesses in the fight against Covid-19. 

This webinar covered subjects including: measures to manage cashflow, director’s duties and obligations, supply chain issues, possible business rescue measures and additional lending considerations from a solvency perspective.
