An award scheme has been created to help business become more resilient in their operations.
The Scottish Business Resilience Award has been devised with expert knowledge from seconded officers from Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service at SBRC.
Comprising of a three-tier structure, the award is a training programme which covers potential issues which can impact staff and customers including physical security, crime prevention, fire safety, counter terrorism and cyber resilience.
The award was piloted in October 2019 with the Radisson Blu and Radisson Collection hotel staff in Edinburgh being the first organisations to take part.
Radisson Blu Edinburgh Operations Manager, Simon Garrow said, “Our staff who attended the bronze training for the Scottish Business Resilience Award found the session very useful and we look forward to progressing through both the silver and gold awards to further our knowledge on crime prevention and threat mitigation.
“By taking part in the programme, we hope it will provide reassurance for customers and staff alike by showing them we put resilience at the heart of our operations.”
